The Leicestershire Round

The Leicestershire Round is a 100 mile circular walk around Leicester, starting from Newtown Linford, crossing Charnwood, heading down into the Soar Valley and across the Wolds, around through South Leicestershire, past Hinckley and eventually back up to Newtown Linford.

I have not walked the route, but I have walked some sections of it on other walks. It is used in a few of our walks, and maybe one day we will be able to connect many of our walks into a series of circular walks on the Leicestershire Round.

There is a guide book for the Leicestershire Round published by Leicestershire County Council, and a website at http://www.leicester-round.com about the walk.
