Bosworth Battlefield
Located 2 miles south of Market Bosworth, near the village
of Sutton Cheney, this is the place where the wars of the roses ended, with
Henry the Seventh seizing the crown from Richard the Third, and beginning the
Tudor Dynasty.
Today, you can walk around the fields where the battle
took place, and also see the visitor centre, where you can:
- Walk down a Medieval Street to
the Chapel.
- Discover what it was like to be
a soldier.
- Visit The Battlefield shop which
has an extensive range of books and exclusive gifts.
- Eat at the Battlefield Buttery
which serves delicious cakes, sandwiches and meals.
